Although it feels like last year’s Met Gala was mere moments ago (we’re still not over Gigi’s sky high scarlet red ponytail), the most fashionable event of the year is upon us once again. And this time it’s returned to taking place on the most infamous date in the fashion calendar: the first Monday in May.

Continuing last year’s ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ theme, 2022’s Met Gala presents part two of the accompanying exhibition, ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’. The dress code? ‘Gilded glamour, white-tie’ celebrating all things high shine and embellished with a nod to the indulgent sartorial era of old school New York. Think pearls, gravity-defying hair and more corsets than Hailey Bieber on a coffee run.

After 2021 gifted us with every OTT A-list beauty look our Instagram feeds could ask for (hello Kristen Stewart’s rockabilly fringe and Ciara’s XXL crimped ponytail), we’re keeping an eye out for some next level hair and make-up at this year’s haute couture filled event.
